-
CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). It is a therapy device used for moderately severe to severe sleep apnoea.
-
BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure) is a type of noninvasive ventilator used to help people breathe more easily.
-
CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and BiPAP (Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure) are both used to treat sleep apnoea by delivering pressurised air to keep the airway open during sleep. CPAP provides a single, constant level of air pressure throughout the breathing cycle, while BiPAP delivers two pressure levels: a higher pressure when breathing in and a lower pressure when breathing out.
-
The interruption caused by sleep apnoea can have a devastating effect on your health and well-being. Left untreated, sleep apnoea can cause all of the following issues and more:
Waking up feeling tired and exhausted
Snoring and restless sleep
Relationship stress, often caused when the patient’s snoring interrupts a partner’s (or the whole household’s) sleep
Heart attacks and strokes
Chronic high blood pressure
Car accidents – sleepy people have slower reaction times and may fall asleep at the wheel
Clinical depression – 20% to 40% of sleep apnoea sufferers display depression symptom.
-
While you can book a consultation privately to discuss snoring or fatigue, a GP referral is required if you wish to claim Medicare rebates for diagnostic sleep studies.

CPAP & BiPAP THERAPY
Our Process
Clinical Screening
Success begins with an accurate assessment. We utilise standardised clinical tools, including the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, to evaluate your symptoms and determine if further diagnostic testing is required for your GP to make a formal diagnosis.
01
Personalised Setup
Treatment is not "one-size-fits-all." Our qualified therapists use their deep clinical knowledge to select the right device from our extensive range (including Löwenstein, Fisher & Paykel, ResMed, BMC and Travel Devices) and expertly fit a mask tailored to your unique facial anatomy and breathing comfort.
02
Guided Therapy Trial
The first few weeks are critical. We provide a flexible trial program where we monitor your progress and download your therapy data weekly. This allows us to fine-tune your pressure settings and troubleshoot any comfort issues, ensuring a smooth transition into long-term therapy.
03
Ongoing Compliance
We are your long-term partners in health. We provide constant updates to your referring doctor throughout the program and offer annual machine "health checks" and data reviews. This ensures your AHI levels remain controlled and your treatment continues to be effective as your needs change.
